From oldies to newbies, join us every month as we highlight our favourite tracks that we couldn’t stop listening too. After all, we’re creatures of habit, so you bet we will listen to a song on repeat every single day when we love it.

Monster – Paramore

Since I was 10 years old, Paramore have remained my favourite band, so its no surprise to see on of their tracks on my monthly repeats again. ‘Monster ‘is a song that’s full of nostalgia and teen angst, something Paramore will continue to nail on the head for years to come. From the era of the Twilight Saga and my general love of the band, ‘Monster’ is a track I’ll never get tired of hearing.

Sue Me – Audrey Hobert

In competition with Sabrina Carpenter’s hold on Summer tracks, ‘Sue Me’ is the ultimate girly-pop song that’ll be stuck in your head for days on end. The receptive nature and energy Hobert brings to the table is unmatched. I can’t wait to see what else Hobert has in store for us this year!

Let Down – Radiohead

Having only listened to Radiohead fewer times in my life, and only in the past few years, when a track i’m unfamiliar begins trending I normally end up loving it. Ok Computer is the classic ‘stare at the ceiling’ album, and ‘Let Down’ has topped ‘No Surprises’ for me… at least for this month. A painfully, beautiful track that’ll leave you needing more.

Zombine – YUNGBLUD

Although YUNGBLUD’s music isn’t my go to, ‘Zombie’, along with its heart wrenching music video staring Florence Pugh, is a track that’ll I’ll never get tired of hearing. From the instrumental to the lyrics themselves, the track keeps a tight hold on you with its impactful storytelling. Although a part of me is definitely glad it wasn’t released during the Winter months.

52 blue mondays – Jane Remover

Jane Remover is a 21 year-old American artist whose music is influenced by the hyperpop and emo genres. Jane Remover released the song ‘52 blue mondays’ in 2021 as a part of their EP ‘Teen Week’. After their performance at Outbreak this year, I’ve been listening to their entire discography nonstop.

fleahouse – static dress

Static Dress are an English band from Leeds that formed in 2018. The group released ‘fleahouse’ in 2022 as the fourth single and first track off of their album titled ‘Rouge Carpet Disaster’. I first started listening to Static Dress in 2020, but this song is definitely one that got me back into listening to the band.

Edit Your Hometown – la dispute

La Dispute is an American post-hardcore band hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan that formed in 2004. La dispute released ‘Edit Your Hometown’ as the fourth track of their album ‘Wildlife’ in 2011. Despite also loving their more popular releases such as ‘King Park’ and ‘Such Small Hands’, this song remains my favourite released by the band.

Bathe in Blood – Fallweather

Originally forming as a duo, Fallweather is a five-piece melodic hardcore band based in Melbourne. ‘Bathe in Blood’ was released as the fifth track on their EP titled ‘What is it like?’ that debuted earlier this year. I stumbled across this song while driving home from a shift at a job I hated and now I feel as though I’ve trauma bonded with it in some way.
